Blink Inbound Rail
Blink Inbound Rail is made up of two components — the BlinkPay API and MemberPlus — covering everything from one-off collections to recurring membership billing.
BlinkPay API
- Mobile Money API — deposit, withdrawal, and status checks
- Electronic airtime top-up across Airtel, MTN, Lycamobile, and UTL
- Data bundles across Airtel, MTN, Lycamobile, and UTL
- Bill payments API — browse billers and packages, validate an account, make a payment, and check status or balance
MemberPlus — for clubs, associations, and SACCOs
- Set up an association or club as an administrator and link it to a BlinkPay account
- Clubs get their own login to register and manage members directly
- Members can self-register and are billed the configured fee automatically
- Export members to HTML, PDF, or Excel
- Credit or debit member accounts, with member categories for administrators
- A full range of HTML, PDF, and Excel reports
- Members get their own login to view their payment history
- A database that stores and manages all membership details
Charges
MemberPlus charges a 3% transaction fee on collections and 0.5% on withdrawals. All charges except telecom operator fees are visible on your account statement.
MemberPlus suits interest groups (like Rotary or Lions), professional bodies (like the Nurses Association of Uganda), school alumni associations, and any club collecting membership fees, recurring dues, or contributions toward a cause.
